Fish for a fish tank?

My uncle has an 80 gallon tank and is giving it to me if my parents allow it. All I want in it is 1 oscar and 1 pleco. Do those two fish fit?

If they don't, what fish can I add that are easy to take care of? I can't have a lot of fish in it as my brother will have to care for the tank when I go to university.

Does 1 oscar and 1 pleco fit?

Depends on their size. If you get them both when they are small (get the pleco when it is larger than the oscar so the oscar will not attack it) than you should be fine for a while. If they are both big already than you probably shouldn't do it.

Oscar and pleco both get really big so even though an 80 gallon aquarium might seem large for 2 fish once their full grown more than likely they'll be competing for space. Both fish are also extremely agressive and could end up fighting each other but thats still an uncertianity, they could end up getting along fine, I had a cousin who had both fish together, they got along fine, the only problem was they got to big so he had to sell them.
Alternate choice would be, african chiclids I know their easy to take care of since I haven't killed any of my african chiclids and i've killed over 200 dollars worth of guppies.
