Fish for a 5 gallon???!!!?

I've got a 5 gallon nursery tank, but my platies haven't had any fry for awhile, and if they do I have a breeder trap thingy. What could I add?? I was thinking of a couple dwarf puffers. Thanks.
 
Im getting a betta soon and hes going to have a 2 or 3 gallon bowl but anyways I heard bettas also do very good in 5 gallon tanks. Just only get one, not two. They will kill eachother. I am not sure if they kill other fish so you have to look into finding that out. Good luck=]
