Guppies do well in cold water, as well as danios.
Rosy barbs and golden barbs.
Bloodfin tetras are also good in cold water.
White cloud mountain minnows are the most popular.
Chinese hillstream loaches are also really neat.

Coldwater fish are easy. Goldfish are an ever-popular choice; I myself dislike them, but it's whatever "floats your boat."
Minnows are pretty good, but if you buy them from a bait shop, they're likely to be poor in health, though when put in a properly balanced tank, they'll recover from abuse very quickly. Most of them are actually very hardy fish.
If you really want, you can catch your fish locally - But never, ever, EVER mix them with storebought fish. You could introduce a disease to the tank that your river fish may be immune to, but the fish bred in captivity won't be able to cope with it. I know someone who had a 180-gallon tank and kept bluegills and oscars - you talk about beautiful! They'll eat pretty much anything you throw at them, and they're easy to care for. Be warned, though: In captivity, wild fish grow large, and they grow fast.

I know a Blackmor is a gold fish but they are so cool i had to they were funny because ther eyes where huge and they have two tails and their black not gold they look so stupid but they are really entertaining anway i think there cute

What size tank do you have? Is it filtered? Has it been put through the nitrogen cycle? Fish are not that easy, hence all the "omg my fish is sick" posts on here.
The only difference between coldwater and tropical is one measly heater, definitely worth the investment and not any more difficult to keep really. Opens up a wealth of different species.
But if you want an easy pet with little maintenance, get a pet rock, not a fish. I've spent far more on my fish (well into the hundreds) than I have on my cat in the last 5 years.

dont by fish buy button quail easy to keep and will entertain you for hrs they will be happy in a fish tank
