First True Muscle Car, 1964 Pontiac GTO 389/421, First Intermediate Car with Big Car engine. Roger Huntington first to write that the 1965 Pontiac GTO was a "Super Car" in 1965! The Monkees (Hit T.V. Series), featured a Customized 1966 Pontiac GTO, with Blower. Mike Nesmith of the Monkees said, "We always drove new GTOs", "they were Fabulous True Muscle Cars in every sense of the word".
