me and my bf are both virgins and we are both ready to lose it to each other. the only thing that has been worrying me is the pain that you may get, is it that bad and is there a way to make it less painful??

also if there is any other advice you would like to give??

(yes we are going to use protection. he is 17 and i am 16)
 
The pain varies from person to person. Generally it isn't that bad at all. Even if it hurts at first, it goes away fairly quickly. However, be prepared to be achy the next day. It shouldn't be anything too bad, but it is to be expected.

As for ways to make it less painful, ask your boyfriend to be gentle, rather than just jackhammering it in there.

I would think you could do some fingering first to get used to it. However, I really don't know. A girl told me it was like a rug burn. I didn't ask but I surmised that that was afterwards.

You should realize you are giving up a lot (your marriage prospects) to someone you will not marry. Half the girls lose their virginity by the 11th grade and 80 percent by age 20 or 21. And, that over half the young guys would prefer to marry a girl that is a virgin or gave her virginity to him.

Therefore, if you can understand the math, the virgins are in 6 times as much demand. That is because there are 4 or 5 young guys wanting virgins for every virgin and and 3 non virgins for every two guys that don't care one way or the other. I have never met a young guy that minded if a girl was a virgin.
