Hey new guy here, iam in the market for a Ducati and have been lookin at the 848, iam not well educated on these bikes (soon to be) so my question is, is the 848 a bike a so called beginner rider can start with, i have riden a jap 600 before just wondering if ill be ok with the 848?? thanks
 
Look through the forum for a thread about a new girl getting here first bike. Lots of info. The short answer is: In my opinion, the 848 isn't a great bike to start on.
 
I rode a suzuki sv650s for 1 year, then didn't ride for almost 4 years. I would ride by gf's 600rr here and there and then went straight to the 848. I was fine, love the bike, easy to ride. Of course I was super cautious at first. be safe have fun
 
My advice is the same for both sexes when it comes to new riders. In fact, I've found women often learn faster because they don't have all the testosterone preventing them from admitting what they don't know.
