First time deer hunter, first deer camp.?

I'm going on my first deer hunt this fall and am the new guy in camp. I have a list of items to take with me and I have hunted before, just not deer. What is the proper etiquette for being the new guy in camp. It is a family style camp where the hunters bring their wives, kids, and girlfriends. I don't have plans to take anyone with me. I just don't want to do something stupid and ruin the season with this group. They have all been supportive and real helpful so far.

Pitch in on the food/supplies......but,find out what others are bringing....no need to have 10hams and 50lb of burgers unless this is one big camp.Sounds like a lax environment with kids and women running around squawking and yelling. I hope your hunting area is a good 30miles away....cause all the deer will be at least that far. I don't drink while on hunting trips and don't go with others that drink either.....your just asking for trouble.

Do your chores and help out......find a good place in the woods down wind of the camp when nature calls......don't forget the toilet paper or corn cob......

Gun and shooting safety.......be sure were you shoot and where other hunters are......watch out for cross fire....plan your hunting day and keep everyone in the loop. Walkie talkies or cell phones muted for some communication in case you get lost. Maybe the new guy should have a GPS.

Well, if wives and kids are invited... strolling around with your goods hanging in the breeze would go over like a turd in a punch bowl.

Bring your share of the grub and do your share of the chores in camp... keep your gear policed up.

Watch your mouth... try not to fart to much... and if you guys drink after the guns are locked up... limit your intake to a NON drunk level.

I guess I am saying ...act like a gentleman.
