I have no clue on what I'm doing so .. bear with me.
I just found the car of my dreams : a 2007 Nissan Murano SL with 28,347 miles. The dealers suggested MSRP is $21990 / financing through them would make it $18995.
My credit is relatively new but pretty good (710 - 715), but because of that fact and the fact that my income, depending on overtime, is roughly 1500 after taxes, I know that I'm going to get smacked around at the dealership and get slapped with a hefty interest rate.
My issue is that according to Edmonds, the TMV for the car is only 19813. Should I start from that point when I go in to figure out a price? Is it even possible to knock the dealers' price to let's say 16K? Or I should I just go ahead and finance through the dealer? And what, roughly would be my monthly payments?
If I can't find some type of no money down car loan, the most I'm willing to put down at the moment is $1600. I would rather prefer to not to have to find a cosigner (everyone I know has bad credit; in addition, I don't even want them on the hook if something goes wrong).
