Here's the deal:
-I'm currently 28. About 6ft, 175. Used to play a lot of sports, over the past few years, haven't done much.
-First hurt my neck bench pressing when i was 19, 11 years ago. Never got it checked out. When I hurt it, there was a pop in my neck and pain traveled down my spine and setlled mid-back, just left of center. I reinjured this same injury about 50 times (no exaggeration) over the course of 10 years - or as I called it, "tweaked".
-Last spring, I got it checked out, did a rehab, got my spine in line, degeneration in my neck and a disc, mid-back, that had a couple spurs sticking out. Nothing major.
-Now - just herniated a couple spots in my neck. C5-C6, C6-C7. I tried working out using resistance banRAB doing exercises a couple weeks ago and then couldn't raise my head for about 24 hours and was in pain, going into my right should and across my shoulder blade and collarbone.
My questions are:
-Does anybody have any exercise suggestions? Yoga? Resistance banRAB? Pilates?
-What do you recommend for treatment for the herniations?
-Any other suggestions from veterans so I can avoid future problems?
Thanks to all responses! I appreciate it.
