First Photography lesson?

I have my first one on one lesson and i'm a little nervous.
I have two camera's a Nikon Coolpix s8100 and a Nikon d7000.
Would it be better for me to start off with the Digital Camera or the Slr?
Im only 14 so yea. Im not really sure, also im a beginner.
 
Start using your D7000. The nikon coolpix is good for when you want to take snapshots however you should use the D7000 if you have it to become familiar with it.
