OK, have been doing more research on Cricket and I am ready to go see a local dealer. But there is one confusing thing that I think must be a typo on the mycricket website.
For Oregon they basically have a $50 plan and a $45 plan that will work.
For 45, you don't get web access, you don't get 411 service, otherwise seems pretty straightforward. However on the $45 plan it just says "free incoming calls YES"
On the $50 they say the same thing, but in the block directly below they put in "First incoming minute free" That phrase isn't in the $45 plan language.
I will ask at the dealer, but having been mislead by a succession of ATT, Cingular, T-Mobile and PagePlus reps over the years (none of it purposeful, I believe), just wanted to know what, if anything, anyone thought....here's the gist of the $50 plan language:
Plan type Individual
Calling area Every Cricket calling area across the US
Domestic long distance included Yes
Free incoming calls Yes
Included Minutes
Anytime minutes Unlimited
Night and weekend minutes Unlimited
Domestic long distance minutes Unlimited
First incoming minute free
Yes
