first incoming minute fee???

I have two questions about Cricket phones if anyone can help me out.

1. Does Cricket have a 14 day trial period or something similar like contract phones where you can take the phone back?

2. I was looking at the plan details for the $37 plan and was wondering what the "First Incoming Minute Fee" is from the partial list of details below?

"Anytime Minutes Unlimited
Night and Weekend Minutes Unlimited
Night and Weekend Time Period Not Applicable
Mobile to Mobile Minutes Unlimited

First Incoming Minute Fee Yes

Walkie-Talkie Minutes Not Available
Billing Increment Not Applicable"

Thanks

Its just a weir dthing they put on that list because technically yes the first minuite is free, or for a better word part of your unlimited mins. Im pretty sure cricket doesnt have a 14 day trail period thing, but if you dont want to spend alot on a new phone get a old cricket phone, or if your only just going to talk and text, you can put any CDMA phone on cricket service.

Cricket has no contracts whatsoever. Sign up. If you decide you don't like their service, it goes off the minute you ask them with no questions asked.

I've never heard of a $37 plan. I do know they come in $5 increments starting at $35. Visit http://www.mycricket.com for details.

Unlimited at Cricket means just that--unlimited. There is no such thing as a first free minute. ALL minutes are "free" at any time all the time so long as you pay your monthly bill.

Hope this helps.

they have a 30 day or 30 minute thing. whichever comes first. if u dont like the phone within that time, you can return it and get a full refund.

Thanks guys

The question though, was about "First Incoming Minute Fee" not "FREE". If there is a typo, it is straight off the cricket website. That is what is confusing me if all minutes are supposed to be "Unlimited"

I also notice the basic rate was $35 on the main webpage, but when I went to the "add cart" and then "phone rates" it went up to $37. (no $35 plan available) Maybe, I ran up $2 worth of "first minute fees" trying to figure all this out. LOL

Basically, I have a friend who just paid $200 for a new SLVR, but when I went to the website where it was bought (San Antonio) it lists it on sale for $149. I don't know if my friend is aware of this or whether it is just a web special only. She doesn't have a computer. I just wanted to pass on this information to her before she goes over the 30 minutes return policy. Knowing her, it is probably too late! She ran over the 30 minutes limit within the first 30 minutes. :) LOL

Can you send a direct link to what you are talking about? Cyz I can't find it

And It seems like you aren't at a Cricket website, sounRAB more like Nextel/Sprint

** PLEASE PROVIDE A DIRECT LINK TO WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT **

i think it's a san antonio plan to compete with pocket. on cricket ALL incoming minutes are FREE(as long as you are in your service area). I'm sure it's a typo on the web site.

You're right Simple3, its for San Antonio Market

37 Unlimited Access

Now i'm curious about the first incoming minute being free

Alas I think you might have read it wrong, it would say "FIRST MONTH FREE"

That sounRAB more like the Cricket web site

THere is no first min free thing. It is listed on the website as free, but i honestly dont know why. It doesnt matter because you have an unlimited plan. anymore questions?

My bad. :o I must admit that I thought the topic said "free" instead of "fee".

But still my former statement stanRAB: It doesn't make sense for Cricket to charge a first minute "fee" anymore than they would offer a "free" first minute.

Perhaps what is meant is that other companies charge you for your first minute of connection irrespective of the brevity of your call.

or it could be to compare against pre-paid companies, which often charge more for the first minute and less after the call is continuing
