First Gastroscopy..Nervous. Any advice? What to expect?

I 19 years old.
Have posted on this forum before.
Lots of symptoms but nothing life threatening.
Mostly constant nausea and acid reflux.
My doctor refered me to have a Gastroscopy and abdominal ultrasounRAB to rule out anything.
I am really nervous and dont know what to expect.
What are you experiences?
I dont want to throw up either, a bit scared of doing so.
Any info would be a BIG help.

Sarah, I've had the procedure twice, no problem at all. For me the worse part was the 12 hr fast. They gave me a seditive using an IV and the next thing I new it was over. I had no discomfort at all; before, during or afterward. You can relax this one is a piece of cake. Good luck...........Red
 
i had a gastroscopy done and i only had throat spray, so i was wide awake, other than making u gag a bit when they move it up or down its not too bad
