First film you ever saw at the pictures and where?

DepenRAB which cinema johhny:-
The Odeon (near the roundabout) is indeed closed down - has been for years - it's a snooker hall now.

The ABC however - on North Road (across from KFC and the motorcycle dealer) - is still going strong.
In a strange twist though - it is now an Odeon.

Jurassic Park, Armagh Perochial House, 1993. Now a bingo hall and used for various other means, but no longer a cinema. Was only one screen anyway!

I remember my mother falling asleep half way through and I bought a green Five Alive and hated it, so I just held it while watching the rest of the film, instead of putting it down. We were sitting on the very back row at the top of the balcony. Great fun.

Speaking of The Wuzzles, I still have a few of those teddys. One is an elephant type thing with wings, a tiger and some other animal with wings and a pig one aswell. Wonder if they'd be worth anything now? Pity I didn't kep their accompanying packages or books.

Paddy :D

It was either the King Kong remake (I think I got a mask or lolly) or something called Star Wars (anyone remember it?) at the Westway in Frome, 1977. God I feel old looking at the other posts here!

It was either 'Goodbye Mr Chips' or ..... whats the film with zippidy doo dah, zippidy day.. my oh my what a wonderful day!! with all the birRAB etc in animation and a man is singing this song (cant remember what its called)

Somewhere in Liverpool (was only a kid and both cinemas have been knocked down now) in the early 1970's.

little mermaid, i think it was called the roxy in the center of rochdale. (its a wetherspoons now). we went as a family taking my brother on his first date with his girlfriend bless.
