What was the first simpons you ever saw mine was some enchanted eveing I would have been about four or five at the time I remember not being intereseted at first but become hooked

I honestly didn't start watching The Simpsons until that season 10 episode, "Simpsons Bible Stories." I guess that's why I'm not as critical of the later seasons as you guys are, since that's how I was introduced to the series.

Came in towards the middle of the Harry Potter parody in TOHXII. My mom then popped in her old VHS tape of One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Bluefish.

Very quickly, The Simpsons became one of my favorite shows.

I guess the first episode I ever saw was the Christmas special after I had found a video of it in BlockBuster, I belive I was six or seven and it was right around the time when they were still new.

But I didn't start watching full episodes until I was at least 12 and my first full episode was syndicated Bart The Murderer.

Honestly, I really can't remember. >_>

The one that comes to mind the most though was back when I was 9 or 10. It was the episode where Bart falls in love with his babysitter. One scene comes to mind where he visualizes her literally ripping his heart out his chest.

The First time i saw a Simpsons episode was the time when Homer and Marge running around naked XD
"Why don't you take a picture it will last longer"
"Cameras flashing"

My nan's neighbour had Sky (who for the longest time were the ONLY way to see the show here) and made us a tape of the then airing episodes. I remember it having stuff like Stark Raving Dad, Brush With Greatness and Bart Vs Thanksgiving.

I'm old. I watched The Tracy Ullman Show therefore I saw all the animated shorts. As for the first full-length episode, it'd be the Xmas special before the property went onto become a series.

I have memories of watching the show as far back as 1993 or so, but it was never intentional - when I was a kid, my mom told me that I wasn't allowed to watch the show until I was 13, and I seriously took that to heart, going so far as to bolt from the room in terror whenever I heard the opening theme song beginning (I was genuinely afraid of the show for a while, since my mom never told me why I couldn't watch it - I gradually began to assume that it was evil or something).

I turned 13 in 1999, and my first full episode was a syndicated rerun of 2F19 "The PTA Disbands". At first, I was a little off-put by the show - the character designs were alarmingly different, most of the humor went right over my head, I couldn't get used to the fact that there was almost no background music, and I thought the show had more continuity than it really did, so the ending really upset me (I remember thinking to myself "No school would loan out their extra space to a prison! Those poor kids are going to be traumatized!"). It took me a while to adjust to the show's mindset after that, but I was still thrilled to finally be watching the show that my classmates had sung the praises of for so many years.

The first episode I saw was "Bart The Genius" back when it aired for the first time down here. It became one of my favorite shows right there.

"Brother From the Same Planet" when it first aired. I didn't really like it at first since that particular episode had a few scenes that are disturbing when you're six years old, Homer's face melting comes to mind. But I still watched it every week and really got into it after a while. By the time I was nine I had seen every episode.

I remember once when I was little I saw the one where Bart and Lisa went with Marge's sisters to Duffgardens or whatever. The I think the first one that I sat down and actually watched was the one where Lisa thought she was going to hell because Homer stole cable.
