ive been looking at the info about the 1988-1991 honda c-rx as a first car.
1st- there cheap, honda motors (not much to say about that), and overall easy to maintain.

with this being my first car im wondering if this is reliable.
my parents have also commented on the size of the car ( 2 seater )

ive been comptimplating the 1992-1995 honda civic as well.

your opinions please.
lol thats exactly what my mom had said.. its not the fact that its a 2 seater, but the fact that i would only have one other person with me.

i really dont know how i feel about that yet. still got some time to deside

Ill start off by saying that I am 17 so i recently went through the first car buy, but i also want to add that my first car was a 97 honda civic 4dr sedan, I was stupid and blew up my engine (my fault not honda's) but i had to rebuild a bigger engine and im loving it, i know a ton seeing as how i had to self teach myself how to build an engine, and might i add that when i started the new rebuild it ran the first time. (My credentials if you will)

Your right so far by choosing to go with Honda!

Honda is by far the best way to go, whether it be a first car or buying new. The CRX is a great car, I love the fact that it is super light, light weight adds onto the GREAT gas mileage, prefferably I like the 4dr 96-00 civics because i drive a lot of people around.

The 1992-1995 civics are categorized as EG civics, the 96-00 civics are categorized as EK, I am a strong believer in the EK civics, but that is my personal opinion, the EG civics are great on gas, light weight, comfortable, and damn easy to customized and repair.

The CRX is a great car, the downfall is I find it tough to find one in Nice shape, then again i live in MN and with the salt everything turns to rust in one season =P

The 92-95 civics are nice and reliable too
and im going to add that maintenence is VERY easy on the civics, doesnt matter what one you buy, they all have similar engines, everything is up front and there are no plastic coverings on the valve cover to poke around with. When you buy your car i suggest buying a Chilton or Haynes repair manual from o reilly, autozone, napa ect. they break everything down to pictures and you can turn a $400 break job into a $90 job (cost of parts)

well do you have friends? would you like to beable to haul them around to do activities? its a answer that only you can answer cuz ur going to have to live with your decision.but me i go to alot of parties, and functions so i got to have alittle room for people.
