First Car Help Please, What is a good first car?

If you can find one i would get a 97-98 eagle talon tsi awd 5 speed 24 valve if possible good lookin cars good on gas and pretty fast
 
I am a 17 year old male so therefor I would like something looks decent, I was thinking about maybe around a 2000 eclipse or mustang, Something kind of along those lines, I have probably about 5000 after I add everything up, I would prefer manual transmission, Thanks for any answers or opinions
 
look at the new cars for tax savings, something that is a gas saver , not an ins jumper! best to build up your credit so get a nissan 4 cyc budget, standard model, or chevy is my idea my 23yr son likes his nissan sentra 2001
 
If you want an Eclipse buy an Eclipse. Any 2 door coupe will be a good looking car for a young male. If you want economy and style and practicality and reliability buy an Accord coupe or a Prelude or an older Nissan 240SX or the Mazda RX. Of course finding one you can afford is always the hard part.

You could always buy a Cobalt.
