First band I ever loved: The Beatles. I grew up with their music and have a lot of good memories to go with it!

Nah I'm nineteen. I started playing at age 8 and it's been 11 years. And yeah im at uni. and you don't wanna stay at my place, I hardly fit. I'd definitely recommend taking up piano. It helps so much with understanding guitar and music in general really. It's like a gateway drug.

And you got it: simplicity is key to writing a good song. Then layering on top of it if you want a bit more.

While we're on the topic of simplicity, do you listen to Elliot Smith at all?

I'm not sure what my first was... There are three that come to mind: Gorillaz's self-titled, Linkin Park's "Hybrid Theory", and The Beatles' "Rubber Soul".
But I think it was Rubber Soul.

(i thought that was kind of funny)

and my first love....

loving them more than ever each day.

Grade 8 = 8 years older?
Over here year 8, you're 13.
It looks more difficult than guitar to pick up which has always put me off, dunno if I'd get piano chorRAB. I really picked up guitar chorRAB.

I do, 14th on my LAST FM. I love him, I learnt No Name #1 the other day. I love that song. He was brilliant.

 You my friend are a king amonst men.

I'm the same as you, don't really listen to them anymore. Not through me thinking I've outgrown them or whatever. Just never get the argue to listen to them like I did say - 8 months ago. They are the reason I learnt guitar.

Can't stand Standing on the Shoulders Of Giants. Be Here Now got slated by for an Oasis fan it was great even if you knew it really shite in reality it was great to you. Overproduced overhyped.

I got to see them for the first time a couple of months before the split which was nice. You seen them live? How many times?

I only saw them once. My older sister took me to see them in 1997 when i'd just turned 11. Liam didn't make it to the gig though cos of a voice problem or something so it was Noel who fronted the band. I still enjoyed it though :D

Don't know if I can actually remeraber the first album I EVER owned, but if I remeraber correctly the first one I bought with my own money was:

in-utero.jpg

Still probably my favorite record (but for different reasons).

i stopped taking lessons in 8th grade. I started in 2nd.
once you get an understanding of where the notes are on the keyboard its really not too bad. ChorRAB are fairly easy. it's just the two hanRAB doing two different things that im having a tough time with. but hey, practice makes perfect, right?

I just got into him about a month ago. He was great. Poor guy.
