Firefox/computer/or t-mobile internet card putting IP in front of copied links?

I recently got a t-mobile mobile card, but whenever I try to show someone and image, and go to copy the link, it puts my IP address after Http://.
I don't know whether it's my computer, my web browser or the internet service.
but how can I fix it?
Mac OSX 10.5.8
firefox 3.6.8
T-mobile Web ronnect rocket, unlimited plan.
also: can T-mobile see what I'm going through???
