Firefox causing strange problems with my media player?

Whenever I use firefox it causes my media player to skip if I use my middle mouse button to scroll on a page. My cpu usage also spikes to 100 percent. Internet explorer 8 does not do this however. This isn't a big problem but if someones knows a way I can stop this it would be appreciated
 
Just last week I was having a similar problem with my Firefox account.
I asked and nobody could help.
. Out of desparation I ran Firefox once again right on top of what I already had...I didn't uninstall anything. I clicked on Firefox and downloaded / installed it like I never had it at all. Their computer didn't know what MY computer had, and said "here! something new for you!".
. So, I restarted my computer, got Firefox going, and it's all o.k.
Try it, it may take care of your problem. hope this helps, Paul.
