A partnership with Verizon Wireless and its parent company, Verizon Communications, have created an app that will allow subscribers to Verizon's FiOS TV services to use their Motorola Droid or HTC Imagio as a remote control. If you've ever lost your remote control and could not find it, but you have your Motorola Droid or your HTC Imagio always near, you can now change the channels on your TV thanks to the Verizon FiOS Mobile Remote app. The app will allow you to use it just as you would a normal remote. You cna view the channel guide, get information on programs, and access settings.
The FiOS TV Mobile Remote App will also let you transfer your photos from your phone to the TV screen. The app and the service is free and is available for the Droid and the HTC Imagio. You will have to have an in home Wi-Fi network to use the FiOS Mobile Remote app.
