Finding Anime Names & General Anime Q&A

He actually asked me if I knew any of them. I said no but I still want to find out who these people are...











Your help would be appreciated, seeing as to this is a big community filled with anime-wised people.
 
I'm looking for a cartoon where there are several 19ish kids seek these crystals that given them dragoonish armor, each with a single color, red-blue, this show was in 98' maybe? I remember they found the green one like in a cacoon typed thing, and at the end of one series, one guy exploded and all the armors separate across the world.
I've been searching for hours, I would super appreciate if someone could help me out.
