Hi everyone,
I'm trying to find an anime I saw the first episode of at an anime screening.
As far as I saw it was about this guy who had this power that could see people's life energy and when they are going to die. It sounds pretty vague, I know. It was a pretty dark anime and at the end of the first episode he gets attacked by a monster of some kind and gets saved by this girl. That's pretty much all I can remember about it.
Any help would be appreciated.

hey mmiguelce, The show im talking about in my last post, is that ring a bell with you. The robot comes out of the ship and then after the fight, it goes back into the ship and back to the base behind the waterfall. Your pictures seem familiar.

No i dont think it is, i looked it up on the Net and thats not it. The ship was seperate to the robot but they used to be as one unit when it left and returned to the base. Wasnt like robot/ship in shows like power rangers & gundam wing (Gundam 01). The ship was round with Red laser discs on the ends of the wings. One episode, one of the enemys was a machine that was a spinning disc (Like the disctructo disc in Dragonball Z) with razors around the edges of it and cut the robot in half. Then he came back and beat this enemy. This is doing my head in trying to think of it. I remember watching it back in like 1994/5 on VHS. I would say it was 1980's Anime.
 
now i'm on a dead end goku .... im also getting a blank now that you've told me its not the character you've been referring to all along .... oh well maybe it'll pop up on my head when i least expect ti ... till then ... ciao ....

okay, apparently no one has a clue. the show i liked wasn't very popular so it was booted from the cartoon network (kindof like escaflowne was on fox for kids many years ago). anyway, it came on at like 5 am and i'll try to explain it further. This kid, the main character (like with most animes) runs into friends along his journeys. But around the first episode he finds a girl in a capsule, almost like a time capsul and was filled with liquid. i can't remember the whole thing but i know that some mecha's of sorts were involved and they helped with war and i also think things around towns. he was from a small town what seemed like in a dessert area. there were many dunes and canyons in certain episodes. one episode he had run into a friend which helped him travel, and he was delivering cargo i do believe, and they ended up running into trouble. (By the way, the girl has some mysterious powers.... not like you couldn't have guessed that!!!) One of the final episodes of the series there is a race in motor vehicles, similar to nasscars at a great city, and a prince of sorts ran one of the vehicles, although no one knew he was driving one. everyone thought that he was in a glass room, but when some people tried to assassinate him they found that it was a hollogram. it has a lot to do with war between nations and stuff aswell and this kid and his companions get mixed up in it..... i hope somebody has an idea now... cause that's all i can give ^^!!!

Right, I'm pretty sure the girl on the banner is Fiona Elisi Linette, from the anime Zoids. Personally, I've only seen a very small amount of one of the four or five series that have been based on the franchise, and therefore I'm unable to tell if the anime you seek has anything to do with Zoids, however, I do seem to recall a similar situation to the one you described in your first post. Something to do with the main protagonist discovering the girl (Fiona, I assume), who is unconscious at the time, in some sort of ruin.

Main character's name was Gerb, he was a motorcyclist who lost his legs or something in an accident due to a demon. Then he took a pill that made him be able to become a demon and starting fighting other demons, or something like that. That was just the first 2 episodes, anyone know the name/have a link to a website on it.
 
umm, srry, i reaaaally don't think it's zoids due to just watching the first episode on the net... thanks though umm, please refer to the previous post if interested in helping by the way. it the best discription i have of it and can give. thank you for any help! It is most appreciated! ^^!

If anyone could help me discover a movie I'm searching for, I'd greatly appreciate it. I tried a quick search a few times and came up unlucky, so I decided that I would just post a comment here. Also, there's 66 pages here, and I didn't feel the need to skim this entire thread.

Anyway, that aside, let me explain what I'm looking for.

Now back when I was about 15 or 16 (about 8 years ago) I occassionaly saw this one particular anime on tv. And if I remember correctly, it used to appear on one of those Showtime or HBO channels. It was such a great anime that I usually looked forward to seeing it atleast 5 times a month and it was on the weekends at that.

I don't remember very many scenes but a few that stuck out were:

1. A fight in a demolished city. The hero was fighting someone who seemed to be a rival, but a friend atleast. They were interupted by a brother and sister duo who could either transform together or they fused. Either way, the hero and his rival had to fight this duo of brother and sister. Eventually leading the the defeat of the villains, and the end result was that the brother was dead, and the sister fled away.

2. Later on, the hero once again met with the sister of the deceased villain brother. She had become a bit powerful and was furiated with the hero. Trying to kill him. The hero defended himself to a point where he wanted her forgiveness. She did some type of special attack, hitting him in the stomach. The moment I remember is time slowed down and she looked at him in his eyes angrily. He grabbed her arm and slowly pulled it into his stomach saying that he was "Sorry". She stopped her attack and forgave him.

I know it's not much to work with, and I've been trying to find this movie for ages with absolutely no luck. I've googled it, I've youtubed it, and even tried to amazon the video.

Could anyone please help me find this movie?
