ok this is a well-known one (saw the guy a lot of times) but i still don't know what anime he's from (picture in very bad quality... a veohTV screenshot ... its from the opening of it..

Need help on finding a sports anime name. Lets see, all I remember is that it is a soccer anime, I saw it in Mexico when I was a child. I think the main character's name is Oliver, there was also a really fat goal keeper and another one that knew some type of martial arts. So yeah help me please!
 
It's very probable that you are thinking of Captain Tsubasa. I think one of the alternative names for the series is Olive et Tom, which is probably where you picked up the name 'Oliver'.
 
That's the common French Dub.

In most other international edition, the main character is called Oliver (Holly) Hutton, while another prominent character, a goalkeeper, which is the "tom" of the French dub, I guess, is called Benjamin (Benji) Price.

Anyone remember this one weird cyberpunk looking anime that came out a little while ago. Not sure if it was cyberpunk themed but it was kind of dark themed. I think the name of it started with a "G" not GITS but I remember was the lead char was a girl w/ bluish hair?
 
A new episode of Shakugan no Shana Second comes out every Friday at 1:25AM. Subs can come out anytime after that. There is no specific time for them. They come out when the people doing them are finished.
 
Hey all, first post, just have a question. I typed "Anime forums" into Google and ended up here, and it looks like a pretty knowledgeable forum, so I figured I would ask my question here.

So my question is, in the early 80s, I seem to recall watching some movie. It was animated, and from the best I can remember (I was only a few years old), it seems like it would have been an anime movie of some sort.

I don't remember anything from the movie, save on thing. It seemed like towards the end, the villain of the movie went through the hero's village, and started turning all of the people into cardboard cutouts. The cutouts were featureless, just having basic dots for eyes and slits for mouths. I want to say the hero was a kid or something, but I could be wrong there. I think the cutouts were gray, and it seemed like a pretty dark movie.

From that terribly vague description...any guesses on what I'm thinking of? If you have pictures of the cutout people, I can probably positively identify if that is what I'm thinking of.

Unbelievable, got it on the first try! Thanks so much! I've been wondering what this was for far, far too long. That is it exactly. That wizard thing in the Wizard of Oz ball is still weird.
