Finding Anime Names & General Anime Q&A

Alright I've got quite the task. I saw an amazing anime series probably probably around 8 years ago, and I can't remember what it was called. This is what I can recall (hopefully it's accurate): It took place on an air base, because the three main characters were pilots I believe. I remember it being modern - normal planes and not robots everywhere. There was a guy and two girls, and I think there was some love triangle going on throughout the series. There was a bubbly girl and a really aggressive girl and the guy liked the bubbly girl and the aggressive girl liked the guy but she wouldn't show it. I know that's pretty vague but hopefully the airbase tips it off. I also remember the title being somewhat lengthy too, like "Ace Force Batwing Squad..." That's not even close to it, but something in the back of my mind says "Bat" is somehwere in there but don't hold me to that. 801 TTS Airbats fits the description completely. The bubbly girl (with pink hair) has a pet bat that sits on her shoulder. The agressive one is just that but is also the best pilot in the squad. The last girl in the trio is the gambler and has a relationship (although they don't let onto it much) with the squad commander.
The male that is the main character of the anime is the new squad mechanic.
