no idea on that 1,but its not Burst Angel for sure...did Jo even have a chest...or cleavage for that matter rofl.Ok im ABSOLUTELY SURE its not Burst Angel since its not fanservicey beyond Jo's lack of pants and the shirts Meg and Sei wear

That's not anime, but a Hanna & Barbera animated series, made in 1978, called Godzilla.

It was proadcast as the first half of the show The Godzilla Power Hour. The second half was made up by Jana of the Jungle.

btw thats not a Newtype(if we're talkin UC newtype that is),Newtypes are no stronger then a normal human physically speaking but they have a limited insight into possible future scenarios which gives them the ability to avoid what couldve caused thier death due to bieng born in space

Some time ago when i was kid of about 7 or 8 i remember i saw a anime movie on TV. Now i can't remember for the life of me what it was called. But what i do remember is that it had a kid in it with a weird implant on the top of his hand and that at the beginning of the movie he is on a big grain truck or something with his dad. Also there was some kind of black bird or something in the movie, on which the kid rides at some point in the movie.
Any of you know the movie. I'd really like to see it again. I loved it as a kid and have been trying to find out what it was called for a while.
I could probably think of some more stuff, if the above isn't enough. But it was like 10 years ago.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated

Hey, anyone know where I can buy the Spriggan dvd?? I live in hamilton ontario canada...any idea what stores would sell it?
 
i don't remeber much, but there are weird people who sprout enourmous angel like wings from their backs, and evil people have blackened wings. Half-breeds of whatever these creatures were had shorter wings. I saw it when i was very young, but i remebered it recently and need to know what exactly it is. If anybody knows could they please tell me:
what it is called
{edit} another thing, they didn't always have the wings, they sprout out of there back whenever they choose

whether it is availible in english or not

and if it is licensed or not

Could you be thinking of Haibane Renmai? Sounds a little like it....well, maybe.
 
The overall idea was about a small crew on a talking sci-fi ship trying to find... something. Maybe their home? I can't remember.

There were two cute yellow creatures with, um, connectable noses and tails. There were also pirates flying on high-tech one-person air-ships who sang their song almost every time they showed up.

That's all I can really remember, beside the fact that I really enjoyed this anime when I was younger. Can anyone recall/figure out what this is?

(I know there's a similarily themed anime series from the same period called Ulysses 31. That isn't what I'm thinking of..)
 
Ok this is just a question, I didn't want to start a whole new thread on this. But I recently just started watching Monster, and at ep. 11/12 you are introduced to a kid named Dieter. Now that kid's voice is extremely similar to Naruto's voice. Anyone know if the same voice actor plays for both of them?
 
i doubt this is it,but is it that anime version of Moby Dick where Moby Dick is a planet destroying space craft shaped like a white whale

the part bout the singing just makes me think of the whalers in that series

No, I'm pretty sure the space ship was benevolent, and way too small to destroy planets, and conversational on top of that (though I think it had quite a deadpan personality). Also, I'm pretty sure they were singing sci-fi air-pirates, not whalers.

Lastly though, if you cannot remember a pair of strange yellow creatures with literally connectable noses and tails (they snap or click together), then it's surely not the same anime.

Still, thanks for the suggested possibility. What is the name of this Moby Dick anime? I might as well check up on that.
 
Mu No Hakugei (The white whale of Mu)
Tokyo Movie Shinsha, 1980

Basically, the story revolves on the fight between the legendary empires of Mu and Atlantis.

The former disappeared beneath the waves, while the latter was banished in a sort of other dimension eouns ago.

Now (well, in 1980) a planetary conjunction paves the way for the return of the evil empire of Atlantis.

The only hope for our planet are five boys, the descendants of Mu, and the White Whale, a spaceship shaped like a whale, where the conscience of the great emperor of Mu resides.

Later in the series the spaceship sheds it's whale-like appearance for its real form, and the setting moves into space for the final attack to Atlantis.

This could be the part you remember.

Can anyone identify this character?

This is a cropped photo from the art of toy website. It's a model of an unknown (to me) anime character and would be greatful if someone could make a positive ID both on the character and the series / movie. I have already tried contacting the people at artoftoy but unfortunately they don't have any information on the item other than that it's a model that has been discontinued.
