I'm being asked to find the rate of change of f(x) = -1/x over [1,2] but I can't figure out what to do. I think it involves this formula:
[f(x+h)-f(x)]/h
But I can't figure out how to use it exactly. The book lists the answer as 1/2. How do I get that?
