payments. Now they will not negotiate? By the way, the vast majority of the 600+ is made up of penalties.
My wife made an arrangement to have $90 drawn out of our account every pay period (every 2 weeks) for a period of 8 weeks. She was told that if she completed this payment plan the cc company would waive penalties and the account would be up to date at the end of the 8 weeks. Last week the cc company made an unauthorized withdraw after the eight weeks. When my wife inquired about it by calling the cc company, they said the representative who made the payment plan to bring her up to date was mistaken or unauthorized to do so. Anyone can see we are getting screwed. To make things worse the cc card company now refuses to negotiate ANY payment options. They want the entire $600+ sum.
This makes really really bad business sense. There is no incentive for us to pay anything. We live paycheck to paycheck and this is the only account we have that is not up to date. Why will they not negotiate payment options? What recourse do I have for the fact that they misled my wife about the account being brought back up to date with 4 payments. I'm lost.
