Victor newman earns a gross monthly salary of $6245 in the year 2000. he paid into an RRSP through his employer at $500 per month, )this was deducted off his gross. He pays union dues of $60 and child care expense of $300 per month. He also is a part of health plan through his employer and pays $45 per month.
1.calculate victors annual taxable income.
i got $70,080 (is this right?)
2.Calculate victors tax credits. (tax credit = CPP+EL+ basic personal amount)
3.calculate the federal tax (tax rate for year 2000: 0~29590=17%, 29590~59180=25%, 59180~ =29%)
4.calculate victors basic federal tax.
5.calculate victors provincial tax ( saskatchewan=50% of basic federal tax)
6.calculate victors total income tax
7.calculate victors monthly take home (net income) pay.
