I am 33 weeks pregnant and work as a CNA. I tried to stay as long as possible but my body won't let me do it anymore. My doc said he would take me out but I really am scared about money. I don't have short term disability or vacation time. All I have is unpaid FMLA. Me and my husband dont have much money saved up becuase we could not afford it, because of school and other bills! We are panicking becuase how am I gonna be able to pay my half of the bills while on maternity leave. We split our bills down the middle and he has been working overtime but me not working will take a big chunk out of our bills. Can I in someway qualify for welfare during my 8 weeks off the cover bills? I have 2 finance companys I am paying off plus a half the rent? What options do we have? Can I only apply for welfare if I don't have a job? What do I do?
