I worked for a global non profit organization that received financial packages from their branches all over the world. As a financial analyst, we verified that accounts were reconciled, debits equaled credits, compared their expenses to the budget, verified that all reports were submitted, and documented this kind of information.
We would prepare a report, and possible ask the branch for more information.
It wasn't too exciting, but I was working for a humanitarian non profit agency where the people were wonderful, and the work environment was excellent and relaxed. Pay wasn't too great.
