Financial aid, work study? How do I get out of this?

I was reviewing what I need to do in order to receive my financial aid and it says I have to complete an I-9 as I have accepted the reward which included work study. I didn't sign up for this and I can't do work study, is there any way to get out of this? What would the repercussions be?
 
It should be noted tho that as soon as you drop the work study the money that was in your fin. aid that was ear marked for that will go away. So you would have to figure out how to make up that money.
