They send it directly to the school you're attending. If there's any leftover, the school will give you a check for the remainder. Double-check with your school, though... sometimes, if you're a first-time FA recipient, you have to pay your tuition first and then they'll reimburse you. It kind of sucks, but they do it to ensure you're actually going to go to school and not just pocket the money. Good luck!
