Financial Aid thru Akron University, I need advise.?

Hello, I am 22 years old and am trying to apply for financial aid. I was rejected due to the fact they want my parents information and my parents are not the type to give that out, they are divorced and will not help me, so I wrote a letter like I was told to by the university. They rejected it because they didn't think it was a sad enough story. What do I need to do to receive financial aid?
 
Federal regualtions are that you need to be 24 years old or married to not go off your parents income. You can probably still get a loan or scholarships. Check with the FA office to see other options. If that doesn't work, get a job and work your way through college for a few years. Or wait until you are 24 to go to school. (I had to.)
