Try to skip the loans as much as possible. However, financial aid is not a loan. You never pay it back. You use the money left over after tuition and books for rent and bills. I collected financial aid for years. This is fact. If you don't believe me, go to your college's financial aid office. They won't go, "Oh, there's money left over? Well give it back". They will say you use whatever is left over to pay your rent and bills. That is what it's for. Happy fall semester. Make "A's". (That way you can get more money through scholarships that are granted to those in financial need with good grades--go to your college's Foundation for that information.)
