financial aid for people in full time employment?

i work full time and my yearly wage is just above the cut off point for working tax cred, housing and council tax benefit etc. but even though i budget as carefully as i can my outgoings are still exceeding my income every month! im getting desperate as my washing machine is wearing out, along with just about everything else i own!! i don't want to get a loan or credit card as i couldn't afford the repayments. i have spoken to the job-centre and citizens advice and got nowhere. does anyone know if there are any types of grants or benefits or other financial aid if you are employed full time? thanks,
