So I got accepted to the University of Central Florida and talked to my counselor about financial aid because I'm considered an out-of-state student. (He suggests that I go call the school for types of financial aid that I'll be eligible for, however because of the time difference between CA and FL, they are closed because I get out of school at 2:30 which is 5:30 in FL and by then the office is closed.) Now, because I'm considered that I'm an out of state student, I'm going to be paying a lot of money for school and need help to do that. I was wondering what kind of financial aid would be available to a student like me, possibly without having to take out a loan?
-Retired Military dependent (I have my dad's post 9/11 GI Bill, but that's only going to cover a portion of my college costs)
-4.05 cummilitive GPA
-Of Filipino heritage
Think any particular financial aid applies to me? If so please list the name of the type of aid and how much it will be. Thank you!
