Finally N73 is added to NSU

I apologize if I mistook you, then. I'm not going to sit here and argue over who knows symbian better. I'm sure we both have our areas of expertise. I don't like when they don't work as they are supposed to, either. However, I'm a pretty heavy user of mine and don't experience quite the problems that have been described on the N73.

That being said I don't use Adobe or QuickOffice at all. However, I have two email inboxes setup, I do 1.5k sms/month, and blow through 200-250mb of data on an average month. I sync at least twice a day, watch movies, and misc. other browsing and whatnot. I'm pretty known to use my phone for dang near anything I can think of to use it for.

I've been around Nokias long enough to know that there's several firmware updates before you could call it "stable." Look at the 6230. Regarded by most to be the best all-around phone Nokia's put out in several years, and it launched with firmware what, 3.3 something, and it's up to 5.5 before fully stable?

As per Nokia, these aren't just phones anymore, they're "multimedia computers" and as such, are subject to need updating. How many freakin updates do you install on your windows machine every week? Even macs get updates every now and again.

everything seems to be working fine... but i dont have email set up on the phone.

at first, i tried updating with euro 01 firmware and i get the error. then i changed the country code to taiwan's with NSS and flashed it, but i still get the same error. i wanted to give it one more try this morning, but the updater wont even update anymore, it gives an error regarding not being able to find the update package or something... =(

Recently I updated my n73 to firmware V 3.0638.0.0.1 through nokia official site. After update I have strange problem: the call log clears itself every now and then and the phone asks to copy Contacts from SIM!!!!
Any one has the same problem?

im getting the cleared call log, mine clears a couple times per day...drives me insane. but the contacts are ok. any solution to this?

Hello all,
I just got my n73 in today and it's showing...

v 3.0638.0.0.30
30-10-2006
RM-133
Nokia N73 (12)

Seems its already updated, only thing that worries me is its set region. I live in the states so anyone tell me if i should be changing its region from 12 to other ?

It's because there isn't a new f/w update available for your product code. You'll have to download NSS and find the Euro or APAC product code you want and change it then update your phone to the latest f/w on NSU.

**You should not try this if you are not familiar with the process otherwise you'll have a very expensive brick**

would the nokia care center be able to update the firmware? or am i out of luck on that too..? . It doesnt make sense, shouldnt nokia have firmware updates for all product codes?
