Finally happened to me, again...

Thanks for the comments and personal stories. You folks made me laugh too! Especially the golfing story...

Well, off to Florida in a cage tomorrow morning. Gonna drive a big rental truck back helping some family. Hopefully, the only motorcycle story I will have to share upon return next week is how bad my PMS got. Pretty sure I read about PMS on this forum. You know, the dreaded "Parked Motorcycle Syndrome"! Damn, at least 6 days and maybe 7. Don't know how the ladies put up with that chit. Might have to get me some Midol...

Ride safe guys and gals!!!

I was riding over to a car show a couple of wks ago, had a sweat shirt on , something hit me in the chest felt like an ice pick, never did see a mark on me though. Still don't have a clue what it might have been.

I dont mean to get off the subject, but the wife and I were riding a few weeks ago and a bird flew up from the side and hit my leg. We were both going, what the hell was that!!! We keep smelling something like sindged hair. It was dark when we got home. The next day while cleaning the bike I found a female redbird behind my rear cylinder.Bird was stiff as a board. That was weird!!!

I lost my train of thought after seeing your avatar....oh, it was about getting stung by bee's or was it wasp. Anyway I was lucky last weekend the wife and I were riding across Cherohala Skyway. we stopped at an overlook. I felt something on my left arm under my long sleeve shirt. I pulled the shirt up and a bee had flown in there. He looked stunned as I shook him out. Probably why he didn't sting me. Lucky day!!!

Must be the time for that mine got hit Labor Day have to admit I was proud of her we were in some serious twistys and she leans over my shoulder and says Ive just been stung ( she is slightly allergic to bee stings) and I have it caught in my shirt sleave . had she not told me I would have never know it not even a twitch, could have been bad if she had started moving around a lot.

Question? Why do they sting when they hit you?? My wife said I was hitting them from behind, that's why I always get the stinger!! Guess I should just slow down! Not!!

+1 on being deathly afraid of wasps. I had pet snakes as a kid and don't mind them at all. However if I see anything buzzing towards me smaller than a hummingbird, you can bet I'm headed the other direction at top speed.

You bet! Was riding with a friend some time ago that got bit and reacted. He's about 40 and never had a reaction. He's a doctor and knew immediately what was happening. Found some Benedryl and he was fine after a while. Always carry it now.
