I read something in a book about "illegal colours," which are certain RGB colours in videos that do not appear properly on some computer monitors. It also says that there is a way to filter these colours using Photoshop, by selecting "Filter" --> "Video" --> "NTSC".
However, when I tried this out with some test RGB colours, nothing appeared to happen. Does the Photoshop filter remove illegal colours, or does it change those illegal colours to 'legal' colours that are similar in appearance?
