My first ever date was to the cinema to watch Mannequin he tried to kiss me afterwarRAB but he had popcorn stuck in his teeth Yuck!! needless to say this relationship didn't last long. He was cute though  (popcorn aside)

Just wondering about other first date films and how did the relationships work out?

I saw The Incredibles on my first date. I remember being very nervous on that first date and it took me an hour just to hold her hand. The relationship lasted just 5 months unfortunatley. I was very attatched to her at the time and found it hard to move forward, but eventually time was a great healer.
But I will always remember that first date watching The Incredibles. Funnily enough, I still can't watch this film even on DVD, as it brings back memories and makes me a bit upset. She also bought me the Incredibles game on the Playstation 2 for my birthday last year (just 2 months before we split up) and I can't play that either.

I had a friend who took a girl on a first date to see 'Requiem for a Dream' - totally unaware of what the film was about. Needless to say, that relationship didn't last!!

I went to see Dog Soldiers on a first date - it was ace! He jumped so much at the scene with the cow. We're no longer together though!

I can't remember the first film I saw at the cinema with my fiance...Dark Water maybe? Aye, the Japanese version.

I think the idea of a cinema trip on a first date is a bit of an outdated and lame idea now!

But the first time I went to a cinema with my girlfriend, we saw Gothika. Crap film, but my girlfriend was sh*tting herself all way through!

Internal Affairs starring Richard Gere. Little did I know it featured a nasty anal rape scene!
Should've taken her to see Ghost like she asked...

The Hand That Rocks The Cradle - relationship lasted about a week.

I, Robot - lasted about a month.

Agree it's not really the type of thing I want to be doing on a first date, dinner or drinks would be much nicer.

I went to see a film for first date with my wife (well, she wasn't my wife at the time :D) and I can't remember what it was, but in the first 5 minutes I said, "Don't you find it annoying when the sound is out of sync with the picture."

She hadn't noticed and couldn't watch the rest of the film, so she fell asleep :o

the first date with my now husband was about a boy, ok so get this, there i am sitting there watching a film about a man that wants to date unmarried mothers because he believes them to be desperate and an easy conquest.....
i had a 5yr old boy at the time.
there were a few uncomfortable moments of both of us trying to work out exactly what was going on!!
lol
now we both laugh lots about it!
