Films you outright refuse to see

Any horror film ( not too good with blood)

Have never seen or want to see any of the Star Wars or James Bond films (well was dragged to one of the Pierce Brosnan ones in the cinema & was bored)

Can add Indiana Jones trilogy to that list or most Harrison Ford films to that

No there were not any Star Wars books before A New Hope (The First One) came out.

The original story as conceived by George Lucas had the potential for nine films. But after the first two Lucas decided to make Return of the Jedi the last film in the series and re-wrote his original story so that it ended there.

As for starting with Episode IV well its better than starting with Episode I. I doubt the series would have continued after that.

I used to have a really long list, but lately I've been watching all sorts

However...

* IT - never, ever, ever will I watch this
* Anything by M Night Shyamalan - I don't like his style, the plots are predictable, the acting is soddy
* Anything involving children in a vile way, e.g. The Exorist - It's distasteful and I do not like it

I refuse to watch Harry Potter.
I'll never watch a Star Wars films.
I've watch the American version of the The Ring and it has put me off watching any american remake of a Japanese horror film ever again.
I've never watch Pulp Fiction and don't have any desire to. Genreally any QT film.
Gangster/Mob films don't really appeal either.

The "he" you speak of is me, as I was the first one on this thread to say I didn't want to see a movie about gay cowboys (or bisexual or whatever they are).

So in response to your suggestion that I am a narrow minded asshole, I refer you to my earlier comments on page 2 of this thread and repeat to you that it's not homophobia. I just don't wish to see gay love on my television screen. I don't begrudge anyone else this pleasure though. I personally just don't find the thought of a gay love story appealing in any way, shape or form. This being the case, Brokeback Mountain is a film I would outright refuse to see.

I was talking to Peter Lord the other day, and he was saying it was because the sets were too large, and a lot of scenes involved water (which is a no-go with plasticine).

Anything with Will Ferrell in it, he is the most overhyped and unfunny "comic actor" of his generation. A few weird stares and corny lines do not make a comedic performance
Also any movie that is adapted from a computer game is a definite no-no in my book!
Oh yeah, any thing claiming to be a gangster movie, particularly if it is directed by Martin Scorsese. Nothing against him in particular, I just cannot stand bone-crunching scenes of "real" violence. I once made the mistake of walking into the living room while my other half was watching Casino and have been traumatised ever since

Oh, I've thought of some more:

Jaws 2 & 3 etc. (how many bloody sequels?!)
Back to the Future
Anything with Tom Cruise. He's a madman and a mug.

i'm too open minded to refuse to watch a film, there's been loaRAB i've hated (like you, me and dupree - normally a film i wouldn't touch)

but i'm willing to give any film a go

Brokeback Mountain

Monster in law (and any other film with jennifer lopez in)

The new Star wars movie (cannot stand the Star Wars movies)

Ooops sorry have I gone too far already and me only on my 3rd post ;) Good thing I didn't mention the rest of the "Frat Pack" then....
:D

The Lord of The Rings trilogy.
I have watched the first 45 minutes of the first film and it it nearly put me into a coma. I therefore refused to watch the rest and naturally parts 2 and 3.

Matrix 2 and 3.
Saw the first movie and didn't like it, so did not watch parts 2 and 3.

Anything that isn't science fiction bounces off my awareness as though it doesn't exist - unless it's excellent to a very rare extent.

Non-SciFi films seem too rigidly fixed to ordinary day to day life to me - boring. They just don't have that 'chocolate' feeling.
