Films you can never get through

The Matrix. Fell asleep at the cinema  QUOTE]

Two frienRAB of mine went to see the Titanic in the cinema. One fell asleep and on waking up asked the other one: has that bit been where he's king of the world?
To which the other one replied: I don't know, I just woke up myself.

Jackie Brown......I found it just plain sh*te,
All of the Lord of the Rings films...lifes too short
King Kong (the Peter Jackson version) ....very zzzzzzzzz
Moulin Rouge......I usually get to the `Your Song` part then my interest goes and I`m BORED STIFF.

Since Blood Simple I'm a Coen brothers fan, but I've tried Raising Arizona twice and got stuck after 10 or 15 minutes.
I've given up now.

Same with Nurse Betty. Does seem to be a comedy. It made me feel quite sick actually, and I left that too.

Magnolia - I've tried numerous times and I still haven't got the foggiest idea what the ecky peck is going on - and I have to admit to finding the copious use of the "C" word a great trial on my sensibilities - Aimee Mann's songs, though, are of course, sensational

JFK - I have no excuse - I obviously just have the attention span of a gnat :o

its not that i can get throught, it i just cant get to watch it, every time i went to watch it someone would always call( so have given up on trying after all these years :( )

Schindlers List

I hate turning off a film before seeing the end, i've forced myself to watch so much crap over the years, but the following were just too rubbish for me to stick with:

Kill Bill: Volume 1 (I generally love violent films, and i'm not squeemish at all, but when the violence isn't justified in any way it just annoys me, the same goes for pointlessly excessive swearing i suppose. I got to the bit about 40 mins in where Uma Thurman slams that guys head in the door and wondered "what's the point?", then i turned it off)

The Birdcage (Just awful, REALLY awful. Stuck with it for about 30 minutes, but every single one of the cast irritated me. Robin Williams looked like he was wondering what the hell he'd got himself into).

Underworld (I just thought it was crap, walked out about an hour into it).

And ones that i wish i'd walked out of/turned off include 'Bicentenial Man' and 'A.I.'.

Stick with Magnolia! It's worth it.

Have you seen Lantana? For me it's a 'better' Magnolia..

Don't be too hard on yourself regarding JFK. The seond-gunman-on-the-grassy-knoll-theory is still standing at the end. You haven't missed anything....

Well, I've done it! What a terrible film that was.
But now that I've finished it, it's no longer valid for this thread - so apologies for going off topic. :D

Gosford Park has failed my wife's film test three times. After the first hour she's been asleep every time. I wouldn't mind but the only reason we were watching it was because she wanted to see it.

the blair witch project! ive tried so many times to watch it to the end but its impossible! from what i have seen its just afew interviews then running around the wooRAB screaming..
