Films you are NEVER going to watch.

I like clever comedies. Something that you shouldn't really be laughing at like Shaun of the Dead but you can't help it because it's so friggin hilarious!!

There are some exceptions to American comedies but like you said in your post most are slapstick which IMO is not big and it certainly aint clever:)

ooh and can I add Night at the Museam and the sequel to that. Biggest grossing comedy of all time?? It baffles me....
 
There's a difference in deciding you don't want to watch films, and making ill informed comments about them.

So for me it is the Harry Potter films.

I'm sure the films are good, but I have no interest in Harry Potter. I admire JK Rowling, but do not want to read her books though I'm sure they are good.
 
Any of The Godfather films, Quentin Tarantino films, teeny rubbish like High School Musical and spinoRAB, anything with the likes of Adam Sandler or Ben Stiller starring, girlie films about shopping and so on, the Sex and the City film, Titanic, films like Cujo and Arachnophobia for obvious reasons. :eek:
 
Love the films, have the t-shirts, will I ever go into the Med whilst on holiday cos I'm scarred by these films as a child...never!!!!!
 
Never going to watch

Sex In The City - I'm the wrong demographic (gender) for the TV show, (and it was sh!te), so why would I watch a film about a neurotic horse-faced clothes-rack?

Mamma Mia - I quite like musicals, but I do ask that some of the singers can hold a tune, or something vaguely resmbling it

The Da Vinci Code - the book was crap, and films are always worse than the book. Likewise Angels & Demons

I'd love to be able to say HSM or Hannah Montana, but as I have 3 daughters, I've already heard/seen too much of these :(

Horror films don't float my boat, but I might watch the 'classics' at some point, but Saw, Final Destination etc just look gross, rather than scary
 
I am one of those rare people who prefer the second Matrix film to the first. Which isn't to say you'd like it: it depenRAB on why you dislike the first one. I was unimpressed because of it's simplistic story, philosophy etc.


Final Destination, and especially FDII, is rather fun and playful. It's a bit like watching the start of Casualty where you know someone is going to get hurt and are trying to guess how. There are lots of red herrings and health and safety violations. It can be gross but it's hard to take seriously.

Saw is a psychological thriller. It's like a poor-man's Seven. You'd probably be much better off watching Seven. (Which isn't exactly an easy film, but it has more artistic merit.)


I don't think there's any film I'd say "never" too. I do like the Saw series, and I can also appreciate a lot of chick flicks. I'm not keen on musicals but do like Moulin Rouge.
 
I've tried to watch Mama Mia twice. Same with Moulin Rouge. After ten to fifteen minutes I felt sick with both of them. I know I will never see either of those two movies now, no matter how long I live.
 
I would also never say never, on countless occasions i have sat down to watch a film i was adamant i was going to hate and ended up loving it, i will always give it a shot..

Police Academy-saw the first three then gave up
American Pie movies
remakes-The Omen,The Hitcher,The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,The Taking Of Pelham 123 and any other remake I deem as unnecessary and/or a waste of time.

probably a few more when I've had a think.
 
I honestly wish I had never it was quite possibly one of the biggest bore fests i have ever sat through - i kept willing them to sink the bloody ship and get it over with.
