Films you are looking forward to in 2009?

I havent seen "Kong" so i cant comment but Peter Jackson done " The Frighteners " and i thought that was excellent !The
problem with adaptations is they often change the story of the book too fit the film! itll be interesting to see if Peter Jackson keeps to the book !if he does "The Lovely Bones" will be excellent as the book is very emotional and moving !

Transformers 2 - I thought the first one was absolutely incredible really, and in my opinion it's down to a mixture of the casting, the script, the captivating storyline, the amazing effects used, and I am a sucker for a robot/human connection..the animated version of the Iron Giant is the only movie which has made me cry..but then again, I was 12-13 when I watched it.
Oh, and I'm even more excited for the sequal to Transformers because most of the cast are back on board, but also..they have been paired up with their robots and I can't wait to see those partnerships and the team forming.

Wolverine - I was skeptical about this because I wasn't sure how he'd work without the X-Men teams support and interaction but Logan/Wolverine is such an interesting character which makes his story just really compelling.
PS: The trailer is amazing. One word: GAMBIT!!!

Star Trek - I haven't seen anything Star Trek, films, the tv series...zilch..in my entire life, but Zachary Quinto's in this so I'm going to jump on board and hopefully I'll get the drift. (I read somewhere that it's restarting the whole tale of Star Trek to get new fans..so that suits me :D)

WATCHMEN - Epic. The graphic novel is an amazing read, it gives the characters so much depth and that alone just drives the story to the..damnit just get the graphic novel and read it, that is the only way you can explain how amazing it is!

Public Enemies
Terminator:Salvation
Wolf Man
Astro Boy
Angels & Demons
Streetfighter (Just to see if it's worse than the 1994 disaster)
Friday the 13th/Saw VI/H2 (What can I say,I just enjoy horror franchises that are past their sell by date!)

Confessions of a Shopaholic
Lovely Bones
Harry Potter
My Sister's Keeper
BanRABlam
And I know its coming out in 2010 but...WICKED :D (that is if it's going to made :S)

Watchmen, Star Trek and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Also hoping that the new Terminator film improves on the dire T3:Rise of the Machines, and likewise hoping that Ron Howard makes a decent film out of Angels & Demons, as opposed to the abortion that was The DaVinci Code.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
Time Travellers Wife
Harry Potter
and Alice In Wonderland (edit- that's a stupid thing to say because that's CLEARLY not coming out for a couple of years!)

I'm looking forward to all of those.

Although... I do worry that the new Terminator movie will be crap, seeing as it's being directed by McG...

George Romero has another dead film slated for 2009 release, though it's currently titled "... of the dead"

They can't seem fo come up with an opening word as yet

I pray it may see a return to classic form. Diary was, at best, weak

Still I had to laugh at the poster on the IMDB forum who said he couldn't wait to see....
"dots of the dead"

Angels & Demons (much better book)
Harry Potter (right pain it got put back, I'd put my name down for the royal showing)
Star Trek
Transformers 2

Terminator: Salvation (just hope it isn't the last - I already know that it doesn't have my favourite Txxx - Summer Glau :( so it's going to have to be very good).

Star Trek (curiosity value really)

And into 2010 - Stephen Fry's take on "The Dambusters".

There are a couple of others I've seen trailers for, but can't remember what they are at the moment - which probably speaks volumes in itself.

Transformers 2
Wolf Man
Wolverine
Star Trek
Valkyrie

and also coming to the flicks at some time

Cowboys and Alien's (but I think that will is in 2010)

Tron 2/Tr2n (daft title Tron was a command in basic to switch tracing on)
