What a silly thread..... the films I loved as a child I STILL love and watch regularly. I watched the llittle mermaid yesterday!

My favourite childhood film was The Shining. :)

I seem to remember that it was an Australian film with A 16 year old Nicole Kidman!! It was dire!!

Willy Wonka definitely
Disney's Jungle Book
and I loved Yellow Submarine

Mine were,

Star Wars
Time Bandits
Stand by Me
Goonies

I wasn't born when Star Wars was released but it was one of the films we had on Video I used to watch all the time.

Oh, I nearly forgot Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Got to be
Raiders of the lost Ark
Ghostbusters
Return of the Jedi

My big brother used to take me to the big cinema in Manchester and I thought i was cool cause my brother took me out

Sorry to come in this thread late, but here goes:

Labyrinth - I watched it at school when I was 5 and about 6 years later went looking around for ages in the shops to find it because i suddenly remembered what the name of it was!
Oliver - I knew all the songs off by heart when I was 2!
Wizard of Oz
Charlie and the choc fac
aladdin - came out in our local cinema (before it was closed down) when I was about 5
little mermaid
Basically all the disney films of the time

The Vikings (recently bought the DVD)
El Cid
Treasure Island (Disney version with Robert Newton as Long John Silver)
Around the World in 80 Days (the proper one, with David Niven, made before Steve Coogan and Jackie Chan were born)
Scrooge (again the proper one, with Alistair Sim in title role)

Shows how long it is since I was a child.

I must admit, I still love my childhood faves - also you are someone after my own heart - little mermaid is my fave disney film, and I watched it the other day!!

Just wanted to see if people would respond to a thread that I started as i've only been a forum member for a few days, hee hee!!

Back to the future 1,2,3 (now got on dvd)
