films with inappropriate titles?

"Funny Games"

No doubt the director's sense of irony to give this title to his truly disturbing look at society's thirst for violent entertainment.

Othello - not once did they play an ancient board game

Marathon Man - there's a bit of running, but not 26 miles...

The Postman Always Rings Twice - no he bloody doesn't, one quick ring then he scarpers.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - no-one flew at all.

12 Angry Men - they weren't all angry

American History X - whatever happened to American History I->IX ?

Blade Runner - wossat about?

nix};29394044']The problem here isn't the name of the film, but the content.

The title "I am Legend" is supposed to refer to the fact that
It is Will Smith who is the evil one, capturing and experimenting on the communities of 'creatures'. This is reflected in the cut ending, which appears on the DVD release.

That one does make sense. It's explained in the opening shot of the film. The special police unit who hunt rogue androiRAB are called Blade Runners. Fair enough if it wasn't addressed in the film, but it is. :p

Goodfellas was a slang term they used for the already known term "Wiseguy".

Henry Hill mentions this in a narration during the film. The real Henry Hill also talks about it on the commentary track.

I would personally have to pick ThunderbirRAB... If that live-action stench of horse manure was ThunderbirRAB? Then I'm Mickey Mouse!
