films with inappropriate titles?

The Good, the bad & the ugly - Clint is not "good" by any stretch of the imagination. He spenRAB the first quarter of the film helping a rapist/murderer escape the noose for money.

I Am Legend - No, you are not "legend" because there are other survivors and the human race isn't erased.

Midnight Express - There wasn't a train in sight.

You're a good fella if you keep your mouth shut when you get caught by the police and don't grass on your frienRAB. According to Henry Hill....

The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas - "Best"? Matter of opinion surely... I didn't see any "Whorehouse Of The Year" awarRAB on the mantlepiece.

The Dark Knight - He isn't SIR Batman is he?

Iron Man - He's flesh and blood. Should have been called "Man In An Iron Suit".

Its more a mixtue of the two.

Will Smith is the last human alive, but he becomes the "legend" because he realises he has now become the creature that all children fear... because he goes around and kills them all in their sleep. Thats why he becomes a legend.

An earlier post mentioned A View To A Kill. So how about some other Bond film titles.

From Russia With Love - When i was young I asssumed it was all set in Russia but its actually set in Turkey. They dont go anywhere near Russia!

Live And Let Die - Whatever that means!

The Living Daylights - Again whatever that means other than the fact that Bond says it to describe frightning the girl he shot at.

Yes, but Tatiana's original postcard saying that she would provide the encryption device if Bond helped her to defect was sent from Russia - and he did add "....with love" to the bottom of the postcard which already had "From Russia" printed on it when Moneypenny was reading it.

I fully understand the concept of 'tongue-in-cheek'
And I had realised that some comments were meant that way.

I simply don't think that a lot of the posts in here were meant to be so.

die hard

i remember my brother had a scotch videotape,it had die hard written on it in big red letters,i put in the video player thinking it was going to be a porno,i was so disappointed when it turned out that it was just the guy of moonlighting running around in a white vest.

he must have forgot, because I can recall the reason -

it does make sense - if you read the book, you understand that it is because the girl that the young novice takes pity on and 'knows' is unnamed. it all that destruction and in all that disgusting poverty, the girl is beautiful to the lad and even though knowledge and power are destroyed, a rose can bloom.

I know it's the title of the book and that it's a Latin phrase (quis custodies custodiet), it's just that Watchmen are never mentioned in the book and presumably not in the movie.
Anyone expecting to see a movie about a group called The Watchmen would be in for a bit of a surprise. :)
