Films with bleeped soundtracks

I couldnt beleive it when I saw a trailer for a current film had the subtitle "contains mild violence & a bleeped soundtrack" did the producers ask the BFBC to revalue the 15 certificate so it would put more kiRAB in the cinema?

I haven't noticed it in a trailer myself (though now I will be looking out for this) but someone else commented on this on the Empire Forum so it looks like you are right.

I have never been interested in seeing either Iron Man or Iron Man 2, I am sure they are good films I am just not interested in them but I am tempted to go see it just to see how this works :D

Just had a look on the BBFC website and for Iron Man 2 it states "In IRON MAN 2 there are two bleeped but clearly identifiable uses of strong language". Not really sure what that means.

You can still say "f**k" in a 12, so I wonder why they bleeped them? Isn't ACDC doing the soundtrack to the film, maybe they swear in one of the songs so that is beeped or something...?

The bleeped footage in Iron Man 2 is intentional and is seen in footage being screened on US tv in the same way the Jerry Springer footage is bleeped at the start of Austin Powers 2

It is not bleeped for cinema censorship purposes

I wondered about that after seeing the Iron Man 2 trailer.

Another film I remember getting the bleeped treatment was Kuff's (Christian Slater). There's a scene where Slater get's his partner a coffee and he starts to kick off at him saying he was wasting time and started a f-word rant at him in the car. This wasn't bleeped in cinemas but has been on video and TV with the exception of the last f-word. Random.
