Films which make you...

I've never, ever cried at a movie (well, maybe I did at a Lassie film when I was about six) but I finally broke fairly recently and blubbed like a baby at the end of "The Green Mile".

Thank goodness I was watching it on my own.

That's one of my favourite films, just for the sight of Thora Hird wielding a rifle!

As for crying, when I went to see The Color Purple at the cinema, when Whoopie finally gets her letters I think every woman in the audience had their hankies out! (except my mum - hard woman!)

Oh I saw that film and I cried sooo much! It's so, SO sad! Titanic also makes me cry....and Pearl Harbor, although it's not a particularly good film imo..made me cry as well...also the Harry Potter films! And I cried during the LOTR Two Towers film when I thought Gandalf was dead, and at the end of ROTK when Frodo left

The final shot did shock me but I never really cottoned on to the significance of it, but it takes me two runs of a film to fully understand the story (my attention easily wanders) and I couldn't be bothered to sit goggle-eyed a second time...

No films make me cry...I must be ded ard or somfink

...but these are the films which spring to mind as ones which on the face of it shouldn't be cryworthy..yet have moments in them which are very sad and well played by the actors:

Forrest Gump
Officer and Gentleman

Ah yes the ending of an Office and a Gentleman when Richard Gere saves Debra Winger from her dreary life, ahh. It was good though. :)

Forrest Gump I absolutely hate, hate, hate. What a load of right winged crap.

The Lion King, The Green Mile, The Notebook, Titanic, Romeo and Juliet, One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest Monstors Inc and especially Ghost, all make me cry.
Ones that I laugh maniacally to are Dumb and Dumber, Road Trip, Euro Trip and Final Destination.

the thing everyone who has ever heard it has laughed at is not a film but a piece of radio commentary...Johnno's "Do stop it Aggers" Leg-over giggling fit.

Requiem For A Dream - I haven't been able to watch this film in it's entirety as it made me sink to the depths of despair whilst watching it... even now just thinking of the character in question, I feel my stomach taking a nosedive.

Right now it is gathering dust not through neglect but through fear of feeling so bad watching it!

Films that have made me cry are:

Ghost
Titanic
E.T.
The Killing FielRAB

There was another film that not only made me cry, but my other half too. We both sat there blubbing away and the kiRAB were looking at us like we had gone completely mad. For the life of me, I can't recall what it was now.

I was meaning more where his friend commits suicide without telling him..just as his mother had done years before. :(
